General Patient Safety Alarms
The prevention of falls is an important issue, which is why we have the Seat Alarm System. If a patient is likely to wander from their chair, without supervision, the alarm can be connected to a nurse call system. By using the Seat Alarm, carers will be notified when a patient strays from their chair. The 2 second activation allows enough time for a patient to be found and risk of injury prevented.
The Bed Alarm System is ready to connect to a nurse call system. Designed for use within a bed, the alarm system will notify carers of patient movement. The pressure pad fits on top of the mattress and detects when a patient has left the bed. This system then alerts carers to the patient, helping to reduce the likelihood of falls.
The Nurse Call Pressure Pad is for use with existing nurse call systems. To track patient movement, an alarm will sound when the pressure pad is stood upon. If a patient gets out of bed or their chair, unassisted, the alarm will notify carers within seconds. This helps to reduce the likelihood of patients falling and injuring themselves. Designed with patient safety as a first priority, the system could help to reduce the likelihood of patient falls. A Magnetic key control feature creates less opportunity for patient tampering – a feature extremely useful for care environments. An alarm will sound within 2 seconds of the patient being detected as away from their bed or chair, leaving less time for suffering. The Underbed Light Kit is an excellent addition to this system. The light will automatically illuminate the floor once movement is detected around the bed.
